So i’m back from my short weekend getaway to Flint, Michigan. So our day starts off at 8am. Sucks when drinking Glenfiddich, beer and Crown the night before and having to wake up from a 4.5 hr sleep/nap. Lets just say I woke up and can still taste the strong taste of the poison i drank all night! So after the late-comer clan gets picked up we head to A&W for some greasy breakfast! When we pull up to the window to pay, I reach for my wallet and quickly realized I had left my wallet at home! So I came to terms with not having any money for the weekend after I let out a couple of curse words followed by some bad language. And so begins our drive in the rain to Michigan.

Drive going there wasn’t the greatest. The rain would randomly join us and force us to raise our windows during the ride. Let’s just say no a/c and rolled up windows aren’t fun! Arrived 2pm-ish at our good friend Jannelle’s (berberberr) and chow’d down to some tastey cookings she slaved over since 7am! I then remembered i was allergic to cats and spent half of the time away from the cat with Tasha and later Michelle. Damn you cats!

Checked into our hotel and tried to catch up to some lost sleeping time. As i slept, the others were still drinking, ordered pizza and even went out to buy more beer! $10 for a 12-pack of MGD beer isn’t too bad. The only problem is that the beer is water! So blah blah blah…10:15 we’re getting into the limo to head downtown to the club for Jannelle’s bday. So after a couple hours of drinking, dancing, laughing, and standing, we’re off to Steak N Shake for some late night eats. Back to the hotel and after everyone eats, we sleeps!

Today, we went to the best place for shawarmas ever! Well as per Jannelle, this place kills all of our shawarma places. To be honest, i’ve had better shawarmas and Jannelle, i’ll take you to them when you come back. So after we eat, we’re back home. Crazy how fast you can get home when you drive at 160km!

Fresh pita from the oven and best garlic/lemon butter. This was better than the meal.

Veerspeteen driving 160km while weaving thru highway traffic!

V and I start talking and we decide its too nice to be going home early! Its summer time! Why spend it in doors when you can be out and enjoying the sun. We call up Paul aka Beej aka Found on the corner of Pogi St and Good Looking Ave, and head over to his condo for some pizza and to finish whats left of the weekend beer.

So now i’m back. I’m back to life…back to reality.
