As some of you might know, this is my jam right here. Has that JustBlaze/Jay-Z vibe to it. I love the song but I don’t know about the video. Anyways, here it is. Enjoy.

I first heard a snippet of his upcoming album earlier this month. Its got a Motown vibe to it. He’s taking it waaaay back with his upcoming album.

Its smooth lyrics and genuine flavor is definitely a feel good song that makes you want to mash potato and do the twist. It reminds you of when love was simple and grand; real and honest, instead of a must have trend accessory of the season. “Love That Girl” is off Saadiq’s newly anticipated Motown inspired album, “The Way I See It” which includes collaborations with British singer Joss Stone and such legends as Stevie Wonder. September 16, 2008 is the release date, so make sure to head to the stores and cop this album.

I’m a big fan of dance and love to watch/find some dope sheeeeet online. Back in Winnipeg, when copied copies of copied bootlegs of breakdance tapes were going around, I always wondered if there was such a thing where people compete in dance competitions. As I watched tapes that were circulating around from LA and who knows where, I always thought to myself, “I wish I can go to these! That would be so dope!”

Then I moved to Toronto. I would randomly catch some b-boy battles here and there and remembered I’ve always wanted to attend these kind of events. But at the same time, these kind of competitions weren’t satisfying my hunger. It was only a couple of years later I learned that my new friends were involved in these kind of dance competitions/showcase. My friends, Helen and Kat, were both involved in an organization called Culture Shock. I asked to borrow their DVDs and learned about this crazy crew called the Jabbawockeez. You might have heard of them from some show or something…(insert sarcasm tone here). To make a long story short, I now know such a thing exists and am constantly watching videos and attending showcases.

In no particular order, here are some of the videos I had to bookmark.
